esimene pilt on Eestis tehtud :) Sama nr 1 http://waralbum.ru/18911/ siin Tallinna kaitsel maha jäetud 1941.
nr1_3.jpg
Teisel pildil http://waralbum.ru/35528/ on tankil algsed Briti numbrid peal. Need värviti üle nii EW ajal nimedega ja hiljem numbritega 1-4. Sakslased taastasid need numbrid Berliis?

Algsetest Briti numbritest ja tankide saatusest siit: https://sites.google.com/site/landships ... k-v-tanks/ - Berliiniga seoses mainitakse 9146

..

Kiire Google ütleb, et need 2 tanki on küll trofeed Nõukogude Liidust aga pärit Smolenskist

This tank will still be used during the Second World War, still with the original British scheme, by the Red Army, at Smolensk in 1941. It will be captured by the Germans and will end the war in Berlin in 1945.

Number 1 sai endale küljele Eesti armees WALDAJA nime all tuntud tank.

Eesti tankid Berliini kaitsel 1945

Lugu sellest kuidas Eesti (mitte ainult) esimese ilmasõja-aegsed tankid veeti sakslaste poolt sõjasaagina Berliini ja neid kasutati Berliini kaitsmise viimastel päevadel.
---------------------------
Is it true that during the Battle of Berlin, some World War 1-era tanks were used for combat?
This is a bit of a rehash based on a couple of my previous answers but all the same.
Possibly…
Firstly, what we do know is that six Mark V hermaphrodites tanks that were sent from England to Estonia/Latvia in 1919 to train the White forces in their war against the Bolsheviks. These were named: Brown Bear 9349, Deliverance, First Aid, Brown Bear II, Captain Cromie and White Soldier. At the cessation of hostilities, four were still serviceable and these were renamed Valdaja, Uku, Päälik, and Vahtula.
During their fight against the Germans in WWII, the Soviets found these and used them as pillboxes (and as tanks). Swapping out the original weaponry for soviet maxims etc.
In addition, the Soviets also had two that had been captured by the Red army around the Black Sea from White forces during the civil war. These were then presented to the City of Smolensk to act as sentinels sometime around 1939.
One of the two was a composite number 9146 and the other a female Mark V painted in a sort of Russian amoeba style camouflage.
On taking this city later in the war, the German army took both of these back to Berlin as trophies were they sat until the war's end.
On capturing Berlin in 1945 the Soviets were finally able to be reunited with their long lost toys, though sadly both were in rather ‘poor’ condition.
Now the possibly bit.
There are unconfirmed accounts of them being used on the streets of Berlin manned by the Hitler youth though this is highly unlikely.
"Sometimes I wonder if it was a dream” he muses recalling that fateful flight. The last time he and Navigator George Compton saw each other prior to this meeting they were bailing out of a burning B-17 over Berlin. Compton was suffering extensive injuries that included the loss of an eye. Schrimsher came away almost unscratched. Bombardier James Conway also escaped unhurt. Shells were literally exploding within feet of him and bullets were whizzing every which way and yet he was not touched. He parachuted and was captured by what looked to him like a group of Hitler Youth. They stripped him of his outer flight suit but left him wearing his (no longer) electrically heated flight suit. He was then loaded on a turretless World War One tank for a trip thru Berlin's streets."
"There I am standing in this old tank in this bright blue suit going through the Berlin suburbs.” He had become a war trophy.
