Nitaseenide võidukäigust Eestis.

Nitaseenide ehk tugevatoimeliste sünteetiliste opioidide laialdane levik on kolmekordistanud Eestis uimastite üledoosidest põhjustatud surmasid. Nitaseen tekitab fentanüüliga sarnaselt kiirelt tugeva joobe, kuid neil kahel uimastil on üks oluline vahe – nitaseenid ei allu elupäästvale ravile nii hästi kui fentanüül.

Aastatel 2018–2021 suri Eestis uimastite üledoosi tagajärjel keskmiselt 30 kuni 40 inimest aastas. 2022. aastal tõusis tapvate üledooside arv kaheksakümneni. Viimasel ajal on see arv püsinud saja kandis – 2023. aastal suri üledoosidesse 113 inimest ja 2024. aastal sada inimest.

Kokku on aastatel 2021 kuni 2024 surnud üledoosidesse 332 inimest, kellest 262 on mehed.

Prantsusmaal oodati valveväljakutse peale kohale ilmunu politseinikuid molotovi kokteilide ja rakettidega.

French police officers were ambushed last night after being dispatched to a fake emergency in the Parisian suburb of Rueil-Malmaison.

According to French MEP @mvalet_officiel, the responding officers were attacked with mortars and Molotov cocktails by around 15 thugs lying in wait.

They were only able to escape after using their vehicle as cover.

he Louvre heist took just seven minutes.

The thieves stole nine items from the jewelry collection of Napoleon and the Empress.

The perpetrators used a lift truck to access the museum, entering the Apollo Gallery through a section of the building under renovation. Police have so far been unable to locate them.

One of the stolen items, the broken crown of Napoleon III’s wife, was later found near the museum.

Interestingly, the thieves left behind the largest gem in the emperor’s collection — a 140-carat diamond.

The total value of the stolen items has not yet been disclosed.

France’s Ministry of Culture confirmed that eight priceless jewels were taken in the Louvre heist, including:

– a sapphire tiara,
– a necklace and earrings once owned by Queen Hortense de Beauharnais and later Queen Marie-Amélie,
– an emerald set from Napoleon’s wife Marie-Louise,
– a reliquary brooch,
– a second tiara,
– and Empress Eugénie’s famed diamond corsage bow.

Eugénie’s crown was also seized but dropped and damaged as the thieves fled. The diamond corsage bow—studded with 2,634 diamonds and purchased by the Louvre in 2008 for €6.72 million—was among the museum’s most valuable pieces. Authorities say the total worth of the stolen jewels remains under assessment.

Greek outlet Skai reports a deadly shooting in the Cretan village of Vorizia, where more than 2,000 bullets were fired, leaving at least two people dead and 15 wounded.

Two people have been killed and a number of others were injured in a shooting in a village at a popular tourist hotspot on the Greek island of Crete.

A 39-year-old man and 56-year-old woman were killed during the ordeal.

At least 10 people were injured.

And, four people have been transported to hospital.

Two individuals whose role in the shooting is being investigated are among those people, police have said.

The suspected shooters were armed with AK-47 assault rifles and shotguns.

They opened fire in the village of Vorizia shortly after 11am on Saturday.

No arrests have been made so far.

It is believed that people involved have fled to a nearby ravine.

A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the incident came after an explosion on Friday night at a construction site nearby.

The sound could be heard from miles away, however, no one was injured from the improvised explosive device.

There was damage to the structure under construction.

Vendettas between rival families in Crete can often lead to violence.

Illegal gun ownership is also a problem.

Guns are sometimes fired to celebrate special occasions such as weddings and festivals.

A 52-year-old man was shot dead in western Crete last week.

A college professor was shot and killed while visiting his family in Greece in July.

Greece's top officials, including the head of the police force and the head of the unit fighting organised crime, were on their way to Crete on Saturday, the official said.

A police squad was expected to arrive from Athens to patrol the village.
