Rootsi ostab juurde veel ca 10 satelliiti ja suure hulga droone-tarneaeg 2 aastat...

Drones and satellites for defence need to be procured faster. The Swedish government is therefore investing SEK 5.3bn to buy large numbers of drones and around ten satellites, with deliveries within two years. Time is of the essence.

The drone package includes more attack drones, ISR drones, airborne electronic warfare capability, and maritime drones on and below the surface. This will strengthen the Swedish Armed Forces in both breadth and depth. In total SEK 4bn will be invested in these drones.

We are also buying around ten military satellites for SEK 1.3bn and bringing space investments forward by four years. This strengthens our long-range capability and helps deter threats from the air.

All of this is possible due to the SEK 25bn rapid-procurement funds introduced by the government last year. About SEK 10bn has so far been invested in counter-drone systems, Gripen capabilities, and now military satellites and drones.

Sweden accelerating #Space capabilities.

FMV contracted Planet Labs and ICEYE for space systems and services with SAR and electro-optical capabilities to support long range strike.

Originally planned from 2030, now the first of ~ 10 satellites will be delivered in 2026.

Norway has sent letters to thousands of citizens advising them to prepare for the possible confiscation of property in the event of war with Russia - The Telegraph.

Thousands of Norwegians have received official letters warning them of the potential confiscation of civilian assets in times of war.

These include real estate, cars, boats, technology, and equipment that the army might need.

This is part of the current "requisition policy" enshrined in Norwegian law.

The military states that it is massively increasing military and civilian readiness.

Norway acknowledges that its security situation is the most serious since World War II.
