Maskide osas on Omicroni suure leviku tõttu toimumas selge muutus.

Dutch govt is advising *medical grade masks* be worn in busy outdoor spaces & **at all times in indoor public areas** where different households mingle—in all places where social distancing is impossible, such as shopping, markets & demonstrations.
Masks should be of type 2 medical standard rather than cloth, because these ‘offer slightly better protection against the emission of virus particles’ than non-medical masks and also offer more protection to the wearer, the OMT said.
Type 2 medical masks include the light blue pleated masks widely available in shops and pharmacies. Vulnerable people, however, should use a thicker FFP2 (ie KN95) medical mask when possible.
New Dutch Outbreak Management Team say that due to #Omicron infectiousness, if *3 children in a primary school class** are diagnosed as having #COVID19, then the **entire class should go into quarantine**.

CDCgov is now considering updating its mask guidance to recommend that people opt for #N95 or #KN95 masks worn by health-care personnel, if they can do so “consistently” (e.g. feel comfortable wearing all day)—c’mon, @CDCDirector
“The updated guidance is expected to say that the best mask is the one that is worn consistently and correctly. The CDC guidance is expected to say that if people can “tolerate wearing a KN95 or N95 mask all day, you should.”
“CDC Director Rochelle Walensky has previously declined to officially endorse Americans wearing N95s regularly, rather than a typical fabric mask.”
