Senator Laphonza Butler (D-CA) is asking the Biden admin for more FEMA taxpayer money to provide more shelter beds in San Diego after the county migrant shelter there ran out of funding. She says 800-1000 migrants per day will be mass released there without intervention.
A reminder, CA is a sanctuary state and could provide state funding to assist San Diego, but Senator Butler is asking for federal money through FEMA’s SSP (Shelter and Services Program), which is handed out to NGOs via grants.

A federal judge in Texas has blocked the state's new law aimed at illegal border crossings - rules it an "overreach" into federal immigration enforcement.
The law, intended to start on March 5, would have criminalized unauthorized entry or re-entry into Texas, with severe penalties, including up to 20 years in prison.

That means illegal migrants, who are adding to Chicago’s skyrocketing crime, and are without vetting, education, training, or assimilation, are being paid approximately $165,000 per year, with a net of approximately $114,999, or almost $9,583 per month.

The crisis at the border is unsustainable. The body bags keep piling up. Drugs and human trafficking run rampant. Our cities and towns are overrun and strained to the max. The number of illegal migrants in the United States has roughly doubled under President Biden. Under his watch, the number of people taken into custody by the U.S. Border Patrol has reached an average of 2 million per year—the highest levels in the agency’s 100-year history.

President Biden continues to play chicken with our lives and refuses to use executive authority to secure the border. In fact, he walked back many of the restrictions that were keeping the crisis under control before he took office.

This is a deliberate political move. Biden has held office for 50 years; he’s playing dumb when pretends he doesn’t know what to do. And he’s playing politics when he ties border security to overseas war funding.

National Guard and State Police Will Patrol the Subways and Check Bags in NY

Gov. Kathy Hochul, amid a series of violent crimes on the subway, said she would deploy 1,000 members of the State Police and National Guard to the transit system.

There will be 750 members of the New York National Guard and an additional 250 personnel from the State Police and the M.T.A.

They will be working with the New York Police Department to make sure no weapons are brought into the subways.

Violent crime is getting so bad in New York City subways that Gov. Kathy Hochul is deploying 1,000 total National Guardsmen, state police & MTA police to patrol them.

Liberal policies have consequences.

750 members of the National Guard and 250 state troopers will now be checking bags at subway entrances.

Just last month, an additional 1000 NYPD officers were ordered to patrol the subways.

NYPD Transit Chief Michael Kemper claims subway arrests are up 45% this year.

Hochul is also begging district attorneys to keep repeat offenders out of the subways.
