Early this morning, Air and Naval Forces under U.S. Central Command carried out a Series of Strikes against the Houthi Terrorist Group in Yemen; with Aircraft as well as “Tomahawk” Land-Attack Cruise Missiles (TLAM) launched from Arleigh Burke-Class Guided-Missile Destroyers located in the Red Sea, being utilized for the Strikes, which Targeted several Houthi Command Centers, Cruise and Ballistic Missiles Launch Sites, and Underground Storage Facilities in Western Yemen.

Mõned päevad tagasi tulistasid huuthid väidetavalt Jeemeni kohal alla USA sõjaväe drooni ja nad ähvardasid Iisraeli vastu suunatud sõjaliste operatsioonide eskaleerumisega. Samuti võtsid huuthid vastutuse eelmisel nädalal USA sõjalaevadele suunatud rünnaku eest.

Alates Iisraeli-Hamasi sõja algusest Gazas on huuthid võtnud sihikule enam kui 80 kaubalaeva, rünnates neid rakettide või droonidega. Nad on konfiskeerinud ühe aluse ja uputanud kaks. Rünnakute tagajärjel on hukkunud neli meremeest.

Teised raketid ja droonid on USA juhitud koalitsioon Punasel merel kinni pidanud või ei jõudnud need oma sihtmärkideni.

Last night’s Strike Campaign by the Israeli Air Force, against the Houthi Terrorist Group, was aimed at halting any further Commercial Shipping to the 3 Ports controlled by the Houthis in Western Yemen; with all Tugboats used to bring Ships into the Ports being targeted and destroyed, as well as Unloading Cranes which were also struck in the last Attack.
