Due to the increased number of Home Guard volunteers the Danish MOD will allocate extra 200m DKK or a total of 600m DKK more than the original budget on equipment, training and exercises.
In 2024 volunteers increased by 36% from 2023 and by May 2025 25% compared to 2024.

for the provision of 129 CAVS 6x6 Armoured Personnel Carriers, the first of which are to be delivered this year and will be used primarily for training to facilitate a larger procurement of these vehicles in the future.

So far five nations, including Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Germany, and Denmark, have joined the CAVS program, with at least 1.000 vehicles having been ordered, of which more than 200 have been delivered.
