@zerkalo_io spoke to the relatives of conscripts currently serving in the Belarusian army. Relatives say that Belarusian soldiers were preparing the infrastructure for the Russian troops, who came to Belarus for exercise.
The parents say that Belarusian soldiers have no preparation for possible participation in military operations.
“They have no high military training, that's why it's scary: they're just cannon fodder,” one of the parents says.
Parents of another soldier said that their son was sent to the border area on February 20, the day the exercise was to end. According to the relatives, the soldiers were not told what they would do there or when they would return to their unit in the Minsk region.
“Our servicemen are only doing something for the Russians so far: digging, sawing, unloading, putting up a tent. They have neither theory nor practice. And if in the fall they had some kind of program […], now there is no talk about events or deadlines,” parents say.
