Former aide to ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Russian collaborator, Andriy Portnov was assassinated by unknown gunmen earlier today outside the American School of Madrid in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Spain. Portnov fled Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in June 2022.

Who is Andrey Portnov
Portnov was an associate of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, who was ousted in 2014. He served as deputy head of Yanukovych's presidential administration and oversaw Ukraine's judicial system.

US authorities noted that Portnov was known as a person capable of “solving” problems in Ukrainian courts, undermining the progress of Ukrainian judicial reform.
