Saksamaal peeti kinni orkide heaks töötanud kaubalaev, kus olid droonid ja muud varustust. Käidi luuramas Saksa sõjalaeva järgi. Laev kuulub Eesti firmale, kes on palganud sinna orkidest meeskonna.

Saksa politsei eriüksuslased tegid spionaažikahtlusega seoses reidi Soome teel olevale kaubalaevale. Laev on praegu dokitud Kieli kanalis, mis ühendab Põhjamerd Läänemerega.

Reidist teatasid Saksa väljaanne Spiegel ja teenus Marinetraffic, mis pakub laevade asukohateavet.

Kaubalaev Scanlark peeti kinni pühapäeval, 7. septembril Kieli kanalis koostöös võimude ja sukeldujatega. Saksa politsei kahtlustab, et laev üritas luurata Saksamaa kriitilist merendustaristut. Laevalt saadeti 26. augustil välja droon, mis oli suunatud Saksa sõjalaeva kohale luure tegemiseks ja pildistamiseks.

Reidi käigus leiti laevalt kaubalaevale ebatüüpilist varustust ja antenne, mis kinnitasid spionaažikahtlusi.

Laev ja selle meeskond on praegu kinni peetud. Laeva meeskond koosnes peamiselt Venemaa kodanikest.

Laev oli teele asunud Rotterdamist ja oli teel Soome. Nii Marinetrafficu kui ka Vesselfinderi veebisaidi teabe kohaselt oli laeva sihtsadam Eurajoki sadam.

Scanlark on umbes 75 meetri pikkune kaubalaev, mis sõidab Kariibi meres asuva väikese saareriigi Saint Vincenti ja Grenadiinide lipu all.

Saksa võimude läbi otsitud kaubalaeva omanikfirma juhatuse liige Igor Ilves ütles, et kahtlustused spionaažis on naljakad ja nimetas seda jamaks.

"Me ei anna välja mingit informatsiooni, kuni ei ole mingeid fakte. Mul ei ole mingeid fakte, mida kommenteerida. Ma lugesin sellest samamoodi, aga mul ei ole mingeid fakte. Pole ka dokumente," ütles Ilves ERR-ile.

Pühapäeval tungisid Saksamaa politseiüksused kaubalaevale Scanlark, kirjutab Der Spiegel. Uurijate sõnul kahtlustatakse, et 26. augustil lasti kaubalaevalt välja droon, mis lendas üle sõjalaeva eesmärgiga seda luurata ja pildistada.

"See on lihtsalt naljakas. Ma seda kommenteerida ei taha, sest see on rumalus. Ei tahaks küll Saksa kolleege solvata, aga mulle tundub, et see on lihtsalt jama," ütles Ilves.

Meedia teatel töötab uurimise all olev kaubalaev Scanlark Tallinna ettevõtte Vista Shipping Agency heaks.

Üle Euroopaline pakkidega pommide saatmine sai alguse Eestist. Kinni peetud 2 isikut.

Massaažipadjad, mille sisse peidetud lõhkeseadeldised kärgatasid mullu suvel lühikeste vahedega Poolas, Saksamaal ja Ühendkuningriigis ning oleksid võinud kaasa tuua rängad lennukatastroofid, pandi teele Eestist. Kaitsepolitsei pidas äsja kinni kaks kahtlustatavat. Plahvatused korraldas ja pakkide vedamist koordineeris Venemaa sõjaväeluure GRU. See on üks jõhkramaid näiteid Venemaa viimastel aastatel korraldatud sabotaažirünnakutest Euroopas.

Esimene plahvatus kärgatas aasta tagasi 20. juuli varahommikul DHL-i laos Saksamaal Leipzigis. Järgmisel päeval kõlas järgmine plahvatus, seekord Poolas Varssavi lähedal Jabłonówi linnakeses teise rahvusvahelise kullerfirma, DPD laos. Neljast komandost kohale sõitnud 25 tuletõrjujal kulus süttinud konteineri kustutamiseks kaks tundi.

Veel kolm päeva hiljem plahvatas järgmine pakk, sedapuhku Inglismaal Birminghamis, kui tõstuk vedas DHL-i pakkide konteinerit postifirma lattu. Neljas pakk õnnestus Poola eriteenistusel enne plahvatamist tabada. Nad avastasid sellest massaažipadja sisse peidetud süüteaine, juhtmed ja taimeri.

Leedu peaprokuratuur ja kriminaalpolitsei büroo tuvastasid rühma inimesi, kes organiseerisid ja kavandasid nelja terroriakti toimepanemist erinevates Euroopa riikides.

Võimud tegid kindlaks, et mullu 19. juulil saatis 1973. aastal sündinud Leedu kodanik koos kaasosalistega rahvusvaheliste kullerfirmade DHL ja DPD vahendusel Vilniusest erinevatesse Euroopa riikidesse neli isetehtud lõhke- ja süüteseadeldisi sisaldanud saadetist, vahendas BNS.

Kaks saadetist adresseeriti ja saadeti DHL-i kaubalennukitega Ühendkuningriiki, ülejäänud kaks aga DPD kaubaveokitega Poola.

Prokuratuuri teatel tegi eeluurimine kindlaks, et kuritegusid organiseerisid ja koordineerisid Venemaa sõjaväeluurega seotud Venemaa kodanikud.

Mitu kuritegude koordineerijat on otseselt seotud ka 2024. aasta mais Vilniuses toimunud terrorirünnaku katsega, mille käigus süüdati Ikea pood.

Leedu rahvusringhääling LRT kirjutab, et Leedus, Poolas, Lätis ja Eestis viidi läbi üle 30 läbiotsimise. Kokku on 15 kahtlusalust, kes on pärit Venemaalt, Leedust, Lätist, Eestit ja Ukrainast.

Commander Dominic Murphy, the head of the counter-terrorism command, said: “Through our recent national security casework, we’re seeing an increasing number of who we would describe as ‘proxies’ being recruited by foreign intelligence services.

“Indeed, two young British men are awaiting sentencing after they were recruited by the Wagner group – effectively the Russian state – to carry out an arson at Ukrainian-linked warehouse.

“They are facing potentially lengthy custodial sentences, although, to be clear, today’s arrests are in no way connected to that investigation.

“Anyone who might be contacted by and tempted into carrying out criminal activity on behalf of a foreign state here in the UK should think again.

“This kind of activity will be investigated and anyone found to be involved can expect to be prosecuted and there are potentially very serious consequences for those who are convicted.”

The three people arrested in Grays have been bailed while the investigation continues. Scotland Yard said it would not disclose the nationalities of those involved.

Last year, Ken McCallum, the head of MI5, warned that Russia’s GRU – its intelligence agency – was engaged in a campaign to “generate mayhem on British and European streets” using proxies that “further reduces the professionalism of their operations”.

Lithuania has revealed a Russian-linked network that planned terrorist attacks across Europe in 2024. Homemade incendiary devices were sent via parcels to the UK, Poland, and Germany. 15 suspects from multiple countries charged; investigation is ongoing.

Explosives were traced to a network of former Soviet submarine officers and intermediaries, with logistics spanning Russia, Ukraine, and Lithuania. Some couriers were recruited from Latin America, trained to carry out sabotage in Europe undetected.

The operation first failed when the Lithuanian courier, Aleksandras Šuranovas, got lost in a new Vilnius apartment building. The explosives hidden in massage pillows, sex toys, and cosmetic tubes were later deactivated and relocated before the July 2024 attacks.

When relaunched, parcels detonated in Leipzig, Birmingham, and near Warsaw. Polish authorities intercepted a fourth device. Investigators linked the plot to Russian GRU operatives coordinating via Telegram.
